When I think of our own family histo r y going back two a nd a half centuries in one little co r ner of Palestine a nd multiply that by all the population of Palestine fo r the rest of the country going back much farther in time, how can one accept any other claim made to it.

Demography make take care of what the Palestinians were not able to achieve, in effect it might become the bi-national state that the present government (o r any other probably) is precisely trying to prevent. I have wondered whether ultimately it will become the confederate state of Israel a nd Palestine, that would be the irony of histo r y, a nd Jerusalem the capital fo r both.
