وصف الكتاب
Perhaps one of the most revolutionary wo r ks of philosophy ever written, ",The Phenomenology of Spirit", is Hegel's 1807 wo r k that is in numerous ways extrao r dinary. It begins with a Preface, written after the rest of the manuscript was completed, that explains the co r e of his method a nd what sets it apart fr om any preceding philosophy. The Introduction, written befo r e the rest of the wo r k, summarizes a nd completes Kant's ideas on skepticism by rendering it moot a nd encouraging idealism a nd self-realization. The body of the wo r k is divided into six sections of varying length, entitled Consciousness, Self-Consciousness, Reason, Spirit, Religion, a nd Absolute Knowledge. A myriad of topics are discussed, a nd explained in such a harmoniously complex way that the method has been termed Hegelian dialectic. Ultimately, the wo r k as a whole is a remarkable study of the mind's growth fr om its direct awareness to scientific philosophy, proving to be a difficult yet highly influential a nd enduring wo r k.
